I never promised there’d be sunshine everyday.

Whoaaaa! It just hit me that its already going to be the beginning of April. Wasn’t it only a while ago that the year just started? I remember eating out at Capers on NYE with Carrie, I think it was like the best meal we’ve ever had in Capers.. no idea why, I think the chef was in a good mood or something hahaha. Then I remember chilling at the room in Empire, people giving fake countdowns, the actual moment when we were counting down and just watching the fireworks for like 15 minutes (it went on for longer than that I think) on the balcony with everyone else, and Freddy calling me while the fireworks were going on to wish me a happy new year! ♥ 

So that all just went by in a flash and now we’re all studying again. Sigh. I have a test on Wednesday which covers 6 topics, and I only just started studying today. And only the first 2 chapters! It’s an MCQ test and while it may sound easy.. I hardly think so. I’ve done some practice papers in tutorials and a lot of the answers were very misleading. 😦 It’s also worth 15% of our final mark hahah. So halfway through studying tonight, my brain sort of died on me and I went to all these clothes stores online to browse. I need clothes man! Most importantly, winter clothing. It’s pretty warm today, which is nice but it’s gonna get colder soon I guess. Now I really need to rely on the weather forecast, and even then its not even that accurate =\ 

So nothing much happened today, I went for my Management lecture today at 1pm. I find my lecturer really sarcastic. Like, he picks on the people who arrives late to the lecture, and he doesn’t even let it drop until the end of the lecture. Can’t really blame him lah. Luckily I’m always punctual for lectures 😀 it’d be so damn embarassing if I got told off in front of the entire lecture. But other than that I think he’s quite a good lecturer. I never really realised that until this afternoon. I got home after class and just started on my tutorial questions for Accounting tomorrow. Ugh.. luckily Hayes was online to help me, I would’ve been beyond lost if I had to do it on my own. 

Oh yeah, this evening I was bored so I wanted to take pictures of the things I bought last weekend in Chapel, but then I realised my charger plug was the Brunei one.. shit! Hahaha, going grocery shopping tomorrow with Michelle, so I need to get a whole lot of stuff. Now, we can actually print off recipes from the internet. Cool mannnn. I also need to get a multiple adapter plug thing, those plastic container thingies with drawers so I can put my clothes, a door clothes hanger, more bathroom mats, and possibly a clothes hanger. Which reminds me, I need to do my laundry soon. 

Omg my neck is aching like crazy! This chair sucks. I saw a swivel chair in OfficeWorks the other day when I was getting my printer, and it was only like $50! It looked soo comfortable I wanted to get it, but then there’d be so much hassle moving it in and out. 😦 Oh well. Ok, so I’ve got to go now, I’m damn tired and it’s already like 2am.

I just realised I haven’t blogged in a week. It really didn’t feel that long to me. Anyways yes, last weekend I had to complete 3 assignments due on Friday and Monday. That was like, wow. I guess IB does really prepare you for these kinda stuff. Anyway, me and Fred woke up at like 8.30 am on Monday, when we actually had to hand in our assignment before 9am. Thank god there was a car available in the garage, if we had to rely on the bus we probably would’ve been late. This week has been quite relaxing for me, yayyy! I had an Accounting presentation on Tuesday though, have I ever mentioned how much I hate presentations? I was never good at it. I must say I think I improved this time, I tried not to read from my notes too much. It’s still a bitch though. Thank god it’s all over. 

On Thursday night, I went to a pub near the uni with Michelle and a whole bunch of her friends. It was like a last-minute thing. So anyways we walked there from our place, and met a lot of nice people. The pub was like really crowded cos it was a Thursday night and it was really hot. Basically just sat there and had a few drinks while talking to people. I had fun la, just meeting new friendly people and all hahaha. Didn’t drink much, thankfully I didn’t because I still had classes the next day. So anyways we got back around 2am. And if you were wondering, yes I did get up at 7.30am in the morning for class hahah. 

The weekend was very nice 🙂 I didn’t do any work at all (because I have nothing due next week la ok) and spent Friday evening after class sleeping and catching up on sleep. It was such a good sleep that I didn’t even wanna eat although I was very hungry. Was supposed to go clubbing at night, but me and Fred just stayed at home while the others went. We watched Bolt! The lazyass slept during the movie, haiyo!! Totally missed out on a great movie lah. Bolt is so awesome. 

On Saturday, I went to Chapel St. with Dina and Carrie! Omg we finally got to meet up. Thank goodness for the good (although hot, but better than rain -.-) weather. The whole afternoon was basically just shopping 😀 I loveeeeee shopping but to be honest I spent a lot. Sighhh 😦 no more shopping until Sydney, I promise! Anyway, we were supposed to meet Betty at Melbourne Central in the evening, so we took the train down to the city. Met up in Starbucks and while sitting there, we saw quite a few Bruneians like Chee Lin and Sara. So coincidental mannn. At first we were so quiet and awkward because the three of us were just so tired from shopping, but then it got alot better haha. We just sat there and chilled until about 8pm, then Carrie and I took the train back. Fred picked me up from the station, then we had to go out to the city again at 9.30pm to KBox. The room we had was so not clean! The floor was like sticky, ewwwwww. The night wasn’t that lively but it was still fun la… or maybe I just like going to KTVs hahah. We left the place at 3ish, I think and went straight to have some kebabs. That was seriously the best kebab I have ever tasted. Hunger + good food = awesomeness. 

This post is like really lousy because I wanted to blog but didn’t really have the mood to blog anymore halfway through. I’m gonna go watch some TV shows now and just like slack around on the internet. Later!

Last farewell

Helloooo! Yesterday was a good day. Classes were not too bad. I don’t know why the Fridays classes aren’t the ones that make me yawn, instead its like on the other days (like Accounting lecture, ugh). I finally got to finish my assignment on Thursday, I was soo happy hahaha. But then again… I have 2 more assignments due on Monday, by 9am. Fuck man. I have to get to school before 9am (cause 9.01am is considered late and they will cut off 10% of your mark), BUT I have my only lecture for that day at 1pm!! OMGZ. Torture laaaah. I kept snoozing my alarm today, until I finally woke up at 8.45am when my class is at 9am. But lucky the teacher was nice. I like my marketing tutor 😀 So after class, I met up with Freddy and Carrie, who came to Clayton to visit! First we went back to my place where I had to pack my stuff to go to Fred’s then Phang picked us up and we went to Glen to eat. A lot of funny shit happened in the car but I cannot be bothered to type it all down now. Maybe Carrie will hahaha. After that we just chilled at Freddy’s and did all sorts of shit. By the time it was midnight we went to buy McDonalds, and sent Carrie home. We went down for a while since I’d never been there. Her place is quite big though, so chillaxing! Then we went over to Elizabeth’s place, I finally saw her! Omgz hahahah.

This weekend will be a bitch, I guess.

Ohhhh. I went to IKEA the other day with my housemate Michelle. I got a lot of stuff like a laundry bag, more plates and plastic cutlery, storage thingies, and yea I forgot what else. I went to K-mart to get a mirror too! Like a full-length one. So I was like really happy with my mirror. I used it for ONE NIGHT and it broke the very next day. So cb man. I put it on my bedside table against the window, and during that time I came back just to pack my stuff, then it just fucking broke right in front of me! Omg I just saw it shattering into pieces 😦 so sad lah. I feel so WEIRD without a mirror in my room. Anyways my housemate came in (cause it was really loud) and helped me pick up the pieces. I still haven’t vacuumed my room, but will do soon. Dangerous la, so many little pieces and some of them actually fell on my bed as well. So yes I have to get a new mirror 😦 As well as a container or shelf to put my clothes, a router and a printer.

Anyway I have one more assignment to go because I finished one just now. Omg so sad. I hate researching.

I keep waiting, but you never come.

Oh my goodness. Sorry for not blogging like I promised. It’s either I don’t have the time or I can’t! Firstly I don’t have internet connection yet over at my place, because my housemate, Michelle had her internet cut off when she went back for holidays so yeah. It should be coming real soon though since she found a good deal for us. I guess you could say this week has been quite busy with lectures and tutorials. I’m sooo tired. It’s probably my fault for not switching my timetable to a 4-day school week… but yeah I didn’t want to swamp myself with like three classes in one day, and I wanted to leave at least one day where I only have one class. But yeah, Mondays and Tuesdays are sort of the ‘relaxing’ days cause I only have one class, and both of them aren’t that early so yeah.

Omg, I have so many things to talk about (or complain about). IT’S BEEN SO HOT LATELY!! Ok I probably will regret saying that by next week because knowing Melbourne’s annoyingly unpredictable weather, it might be damnnn cold again like last week. Now we actually have to rely on weather forecasts, which may not be that accurate after all. The temperature on the weather forecast today was 18 deg. Instead, it was fucking hot! Urghhhh. But anyway, classes have been not bad this week. I attended all my lectures and tutorials 🙂 downside is, there are so many assignments due in Week 4 and Week 5 (which is like next week and the week after)!! Omg, I even lost track of what assignments there are. It’s only like the third week. Everytime there is a homework or assignment I keep finding somewhere to write it down in where I can remember. I should get an organiser. Anyway, I have a marketing mini assignment to complete by next week. It shouldn’t be too hard, but I’m just paranoid because I really want to score high marks in it. Then, I have an accounting presentation the week after.. that, I’m a bit worried about 😦 It’s a group presentation, and I won’t judge or anything but hopefully everything goes smoothly. Then that same week I have another assignment due. And this sounds bad but I honestly cannot remember which subject it is. URGHH. I had two tutorials today, one from 9 – 12pm and the other from 12 – 3pm. 6 hours straight of tutorials!! I was soo hungry. But they weren’t too bad lah, I was actually motivated to do work! 😀 Surprisingly today was a good day, despite the early and long day without a lunch break.

What else… oh yeah my housemate came back, as you’ve probably noticed. She’s very nice, and just the other night we spent ages standing outside our doors talking and stuff. It’s nice to know and be able to talk to someone who’s on the same wavelength as you are. So far, we’re getting along just fine 🙂 I guess I’m appreciating it because I haven’t made much friends. I do have some, but very little compared to others, and they’re not exactly the ones I can hang out with.. not now at least. Maybe I just have very poor social skills. But it’s okay, that might change as the trimester goes on, hopefully.

Omg, I just checked the time and realised it’s already 2am. Ok I gotta finish this blog soon. I’m finally meeting up with Carrie, Betty and Dina (who I have not seen in years (literally)!) 😀 I’m so excited to just talk and catch up. I am probably gonna meet up with the Carrie at the station, and then get a tour of her house cause I haven’t been there yet, then head to the city to meet up with the other two. Right now I’m feeling a bit nostalgic. I miss home. I’m happy to be here, don’t get me wrong, but things are just different here. I miss high school. It was so easy to make friends, and everyone was friends with everyone (I’m talking about our grade). Here, it’s not so easy. At least not for me. Life in Brunei for the past 8 to 9 months has been so relaxed and chilled out. I’m already missing those times when we’d laugh (not seriously la) at people who had to go to school, when we could just go out whenever we want and not worry about IAs or tests or extended essays. But yeah yeah life goes on blablabla. I’m right where I always wanted to be, and I’m happy.. it’s just that I miss the old times back home.

Anyways, I’m really tired now and I really should get to sleep otherwise I’d just oversleep and miss the bus and the train and be late 😦 Goodnight!

I just had a crazy, tiring weekend. I feel so much better now, all showered and dressed in a t-shirt and shorts ready to go to sleep anytime soon. It’s 1am now, thankfully my class tomorrow is at 1pm so it’s all good. The trip to Lakes Entrance had to be scheduled a day earlier because of accomodation problems. So we set off to Lakes Entrance on Friday morning at around 8am. The trip there took about 3 hours, and I was so tired I slept for most of the journey. Oh, Lakes Entrance is actually in Gippsland, where one of the Monash University campuses are. Damn sad lor if I had to go to the Gippsland campus. I think I would cry man.. it’s so far from civilization. It’s just a really small town with a population of only around 5000 people.

When we reached there we visited the Buchan Caves, some stuff about how limestone was formed and shit.. um yeah not that interesting lah, plus the caves were damn small! Pathways were so narrow and the ceiling was so low. I prefer the cave we went to in Ballarat. It was much more interesting and wasn’t so hard to walk through and it was air-conditioned! Hahah. Plus, you could tell that the tour guide (in Buchan Caves) wasn’t so bothered. We went fishing/crabbing after that. That was actually all we did during the whole trip. We went to a pier and everything, and it was soo cold! The stupid wind kept blowing cold air. But the good thing was we caught 3 fishes and about 60 crabs, no joke!! At first I thought it was zz.. cause fishing ain’t my thing but crabbing was really fun la especially when you catch alot of them. Basically we had two crab nets, and in each net we had a piece of chicken bone and liver. It took a while for us to catch them.. cause at first we caught nothing then slowly from nothing, we had like 4 crabs in one net. Niceeeee 😀 So in the end we went back to the motel feeling very happy.

When we were about to leave, there was these group of angmohs who came to fish as well. So we were at our cars packing everything up and we went to throw tissues at the side, where all these other bunch of rubbish were already thrown there. Then suddenly one racist poklen angmoh boy started shouting at us asking us to pick up our rubbish and shit, swearing at us so loudly thinking he’s so cool and shit. I swear he was a fucking racist man, cause I think about an hour before that when we were still at the pier and he was in his car, he swore at us too from afar (too scared maybe) but we didn’t know he was shouting at us so we just minded our own business. Anyway he kept saying stuff like “Fucking chinks, go pick up your rubbish. Can’t you understand English?” and all those crap lah. I think he was only like 18 or 19 man, trying to be all cool and shit swearing at us. The whole time he shouted and swore at us, none of us actually paid any attention to him and just ignored him. What a loser. Hahaha I bet he was damn pissed off la cause no one actually cared about him.

The next day we did the same thing, except we didn’t catch as much as the day before. Halfway fishing/crabbing, suddenly this huuuge group of China people came to fish. And more and more of them kept swarming in and soon they dominated the pier. The angmohs who were there earlier even left because there were just SO many of them and soo annoying because they kept taking over our place or got really close to us. After that we didnt really have the mood to fish anymore so we just left. Another 3 hours back to Melbourne. We reached the city at 10ish I think.

Ok, I’m really really tired now and need to sleep, but I’ll continue this blog tomorrow! More interesting things to blog about. 🙂

We’re the last thing on my mind.

Hellooo! I promised Carrie I would blog last night.. but I didnt because I forgot about it and went to sleep. Heheh. Anyways, I have pictures of my apartment and other stuff but that will have to wait. I might not be lazy and upload them all tonight on Facebook, if not, you will see it by next week.

The weather has been crazy lately. On Thursday and Friday it was damnnn hot, but today it was so cold! I went to the city today with Freddy, but we had to separate at Melbourne Central Station cause I have to get off to meet up with my brother. Omg, getting there was such a hassle. The bus from Fred‘s place to the train station was supposed to be at 4pm, but it only came at 4.20pm! We actually called a cab to take us there, then like 2 minutes after we called the cab, we saw the bus. Shit man. We just went on the bus without cancelling hahahah. So the plan today was to go rock climbing (yes I know, so adventurous right, Carrie and Weier?! :D) and then dinner with my brother. But it turns out that it was too late already cause it closes early on weekends. So, rock climbing next week! We just walked around the city after that. Damn, we walked very far lo. But we had nothing to do so it didn’t really feel very far, and at least I could also get to know the city more so I won’t get lost next time. We decided to have dinner at Shark Fin House in Chinatown. Omg, expensive lahh the meal. The bill was $120 for only the two of us. Not worth it in my opinion. The duck was nice, but the other two dishes were quite salty =S But we were damn full. After dinner, we met up with Freddy, Som and Gary and walked alllll the way from Chinatown to Bouverie St. where my bro’s friend’s place is. Quite far la, but it’s not so bad. Good exercise after a very full dinner heheh. After that we just left to Som‘s place and played Monopoly. As usual, Som won. King of Monopoly man.

I typed up a blog the other day on Word when I was in Rusden (cause I didn’t have internet) and I was just saying how I don’t like going back to my apartment cause I feel kinda lonely there and I have absolutely nothing to do there. It just sucks coming back home to an empty apartment at night. But all that will change soon I guess, since my housemate is coming back on Thursday. On the other hand, my housemate’s friend has been staying in her room temporarily, until he finds a place and moves out, which will be soon. I was kinda shocked by his presence when I went home to get some of my stuff and someone came out of the other room. But he’s a nice person la and we can actually get along. He gave me a lot of advice on school and stuff cause he studied the same course, and he even offered to give me his notes and some of his stuff (mainly cause he wants to get rid of his stuff lol).

Other than that, nothing much has been happening lately so I’ll stop here cause I need to go to sleep soon. Pictures up soon, I promise! 😀
