My life is so boring. I have exams in a week! Whathefuck man seriously. I’m so fucking scaredddd. Been slacking like hell this semester. I’m up early today because I have to wait for the Coles delivery guy to receive my orders. I’m so relieved my orders are coming in today, it’s like so sad I didn’t have much things to eat in the past few days. Gonna go for Stats lecture later at 1pm, then come back home and study a bit.. and then off to Chadstone for VIP night. I’m pretty convinced I’m not gonna buy anything (like clothes, shoes, etc.) though. Just not in the mood for shopping. Maybe because I just bought stuff online hahah. Can’t wait til I get my stuff! I expect it to be at the end of this month. So I’m just gonna meet up with Freddy and co. and I dno, hang around I guess. Gonna buy some fake eyelashes though hahahah. I’ve never tried them beforeee ok and I really wanna try them out. Ooh and probably get some sushi. The only option I have there in Chadstone is like, SushiSushi, which sucks balls but yeah no choice. I’m just craving for sushi.

Anyway, the next few weeks is gonna be so busy for me! Firstly cause of the exams, then after that I have to do all sorts of things like pack all my stuff into boxes and move them over to Freddy‘s place for storage 😛 Then, I have to pack all my clothes to go back to Brunei, and that’s gonna be alotttt since I’m gonna be there for like a few months. Then I have to find a part-time job, like I dno, a cashier at Coles or something HAHAHAH. Shit, the thought of me actually working is quite funny cause I’ve never had a job before. But anyway… then I have to go around inspecting apartments for next year. It sounds so tiring alreadyyy. And THIS week, I have to go and book my tickets back home, and find a real estate agent. 😦 😦 Someone help me. But after all that, I get to go home! Yay 😀

I’m not so bitter about being here anymore because it’s finally spring! Yes, Melbourne has been much warmer recently. The weather even goes up to 30 degrees ok, that’s like so amazing already. On one of the weekends it was so warm, we could just wear a top and shorts. Wowwww hahahah it’s like Brunei already. But winter this year wasn’t as bad as last year’s I think, thank god.

I think I really need a haircut. The others went to cut their hair the other day, at this Korean hairsalon which is like really popular with Asians here. I was really tempted to cut my hair there, especially my fringe cause I want it shorter. But it was like $50 for the ladies, so wtf right. So I decided not to. So freaking expensive, I’m sure I can wait until I go back to get a haircut for less than $20. So weekend was mostly just spent at the library, doing my last assignment and doing revision questions for Macro. It was quite productive I guess, but I really have to step it up this week. Say goodbye to social life for two weeks 🙂

Ok the delivery guy just came. Yayy I have plenty of food to eat now. Sad thing was that I broke one of my pasta sauce bottles. And all the pasta sauce leaked in the plastic bag omg. What a waste of good pasta sauce 😦 I had to throw the whole thing away. Ok I gotta go and get ready now, byebye!

I’ve been driving for miles and miles.

I’ve been putting off blogging for a while now. This is a little overdue but anyway, I arrived in Melb less than a week ago, on Thursday morning. Otw there, I stopped over Singapore with Marvin (he was on the same flight as me) and there were so many Bruneians man! Crazyyy. I did a little bit of shopping there, bought a really cute dress 🙂 it was a bit pricey though, but I have very little dresses. I just realised all the dresses I have with me right now are all black. My flight from SG to Melbourne was at 11.40pm, so I could go to the airport a little bit later. I had dinner at this Chinese restaurant around Haji Lane, which was really shit lor. After that I took a cab to the airport and got a bit lost there cause I was trying to find the place where I left my bags. I finally did, and decided to go and take a shower because I felt really digusting and sticky. After showering, I was looking at the monitor thing outside and it said ‘Last Call’ for my flight so I was fucking scared and ran to the gate. CB, not yet even time to board yet.

So the flight was not as bad as I expected. I managed to sleep through most of the flight. The worst thing was that we arrived at the Melbourne airport right on time, at 10.05am. But some stupid Qantas plane took up our spot, so our plane couldn’t park at all and I think we were stuck on the plane for an extra hour. Just as I was about to fall asleep, I realised everyone was getting up to get off the plane. I only came out of the airport at 12ish. Stressful sia. Freddy and Som picked me up from the airport, then I had to go back to Fred‘s house, shower, pack my things and get ready for the trip. The trip was quite fun, we went to Hepburn Springs for a spa thing which we had to pay $50 each for. At night, we had fine dining at Lakehouse. That costed us another $70 per person. I ordered the summer lamb thing and I didn’t really like it cause I think it was either medium rare or medium well.. I always eat my lamb well done. The desert was good though! 😀

After dinner, we went to the house that we had rented for that night. I think it was called the Tower House or something. It was damnnn beautiful. From the outside it looks really plain and boring but once you go in, it’s like wow. It looks really cosy! You could tell the people really put alot of effort into decorating the house. For most of the night we were just playing Monopoly until like 1 or 2am. The next day we went to Ballarat, which is a town and there is a gold mining place there that people can visit. Go Facebook for pictures 🙂 I might post up pictures here la, see my mood hahah.

Other than that, haven’t been doing much here. Eating, mostly. Just the other day we went for dinner at Shark Fin House in the city, and we had a huuuuge lobster and some other dishes as well. The lobster was so good! Yum yum 😀 The bill was around $300, so it was $90 per person. Ouch haha. No, I haven’t been cooking here. I will soon! I just need to buy groceries ;D Oh yeah, I checked in to Rusden (my accomodation) yesterday. My apartment was freaking small!! I cannot get used to it. But I guess I will have to 😦 and my room is really small as well. I don’t really mind that though, it’s just that the closet is really small as well.. so I have no idea how to put all my clothes =\ As soon as I put my stuff down in my apartment, I went back to Freddy’s house because I wouldn’t have any food to eat that night 😦 and also my housemate isn’t coming back until the end of this month so I have yet to meet her. Shit man I’d feel so lonely back at my apartment if it wasn’t for Freddy. I would have nothing to do at all! Since I haven’t gotten my laptop yet.

I also went to buy alot of things for my house the other day. Bedsheets, pillow, quilt, quilt cover, pillow cases, hangers, cups, cutlery, plates, bowls, a small rubbish bin, pots and pans. I felt so =O when I saw the amount. It was like $400, and that was only for half the things on the list above cause I bought those things separately. Thank god I got the quilt for HALF the original price.

But I’m loving it here. Things are all good. I do miss my mum a lot though 😦 but that’s another thing I have to get used to. The best thing so far about this place is that the sun sets at around 7-8pm!! At first it was a bit weird eating dinner at what seems like 3 or 4pm in the afternoon, but I’m slowly getting used to it. Oh yeah, my enrolment and orientation was yesterday! I went to the campus at 8.30am, and got so confused on where the place to enrol was. Luckily Freddy came with me. Everyone seemed to have friends. Majority of the people were China people and Hongkies. Overload man hahaha. Orientation was damn boring lah. We had to go to the lecture theatre where the teachers would talk to us and shit, and it was all very repetitive. Omg I almost slept man. I know Freddy did hahah. I was supposed to go for orientation today too but I didn’t want to go. I’m going for tomorrow’s session though cause apparently it’s compulsary. So yes I’m skipping most of O-week. And no guys it is not as awesome as Fresher’s week in UK hahahah.

This world is just built on lies

Ignore the emo title, I’m not feeling emo at all haha. I just typed whatever comes to my mind.

It keeps raining heavily these few days, it’s so annoying. Like shut up already! Anyway, so sien la the site is always dead, I know. Nothing to blog about ok. Javon‘s already blogged about Rock Band Night that happened at Carrie‘s last week. Oh, it was Carrie‘s birthday on Sunday so happy belated birthday(although I already wished you like everywhere else lol)!  Omg she’s 19. I don’t wanna be 19 😦 18 is such a cool age to be.

I’m all pumped up and excited for CNY, which is in a week from now! So fast man. It’s time to clean up the house and start hanging all the CNY decos. Hahah the CNY decos make the house look happier and better. I wish I had CNY songs to play, I’m so in the mood man! I keep singing CNY songs randomly (eventhough its more like humming cause I dno the lyrics) and my mum keeps asking why I’m always singing. I always feel like I’m a little kid again at this time of the year, where I’m all excited about wearing new clothes, getting new stuff, dyeing my hair a new colour or getting a new hairstyle, although that’s not the case this year cause I’m too lazy and stuff. And omg, how could I forget all the food that you only see during CNY? Keropok with acar, kueh mor, pineapple tarts, mandarin oranges…… (and many others I dno the name of) shit I’m not doing this to piss anyone off ok it’s making me so hungry right now 😦

Oh yea, the other day I was shopping with my mum in Hua Ho Yayasan and we were just looking at the bags and whenever we just touched a bag this stupid saleslady would immediately come up and adjust the bag like one second after you put it down on the display table. She didn’t even wait for us to go away to do that. Omg what a bitch man I was so pissed off at her and her bitchy face. Urghhh.

I am so annoyed now! I keep pausing while typing up this blog because I didn’t know what to say. In IB, blogging was still so easy because you just tend to complain about it naturally, no need to stop and think. There was always something to complain or bitch about.

Omg, I want to go shopping! I hope I can wake up earlier tomorrow and go out with my mum or something. There is this reallllly cute dress that I’ve been eyeing on for a few weeks now and I want it!! It’s just I don’t have a lot of dresses and this one’s really cute 😦 Ew, I sound like such a brat hahahah.

Ok you know what, I give up on blogging for today. My mouth is watering right now because I am hungry and I need to find something to eat.

So my sleeping hours still haven’t changed. It’s all Friends’ fault, I swear! I’ve been staying up watching Friends for.. quite a while now. But I guess it’s worth it 😀 I’m gonna go for another injection tomorrow so I have to make this quick. I went to Miri the other day for a day trip to get all the stuff I need to bring to Melbourne. I got contacts enough to last me for a year, jeans and shoes! 😀 Ok not all, but the ones that were necessary. And yeah, the shoes were necessary. I was planning on getting new sunnies, but there wasn’t enough time. It was a very productive trip 😀 The journey back to Brunei was a bitch though, there was a jam in KB and then right after that, it started raining so heavily we couldn’t even see the roads anymore and had to drive sooo slow, my bladder was gonna burst. We ended up reaching home 2 hours later than we were supposed to.

Oh and the night before I went to Miri I got a parking ticket! 😦 bitch man, my first ticket ever. I parked where we weren’t supposed to park, outside the De Royalle block where everyone parked. Pfft sienz. And I was one of the very unlucky few who got fined for that. Of course I didn’t have the guts to say anything to the police because I’m a noob.

So I’ve started taking my big luggage out and putting stuff in it, mostly clothes because I know that is like the hardest thing to pack (or maybe it’s just me). I mean, you can’t bring your whole closet of clothes but then what if you need the ones that you’re gonna leave behind? Sigh so depressing. Yesterday my suitcase was empty and today it’s almost full. Yeah ok so I got a little bit excited and started putting a lot of my clothes in. Wheee this is so exciting! 😀

Anyway I gotta get to bed now, getting late.

Why am I always posting at insane hours when everyone is sleeping? 😦

Life is getting pretty boring (reason why I don’t blog much anymore) which is why I just want to leave earlier. There’s nothing exciting going on anymore. Everything we wanted to do and experience has already been done in probably the first 3 months of our holiday. By the 5th or 6th month, it gets pretty boring, and by the 8th month… oh lord. Um yeah I’m not trying to rub it in anyone’s faces or anything cause honestly it’s nothing to brag about, in fact I feel so useless right now. Soon I will be buried in books and assignments again, yay. (I can’t decide if that sentence should be sarcastic or not.)

So today was another useless day. I woke up at like, 1.30pm which is pretty early for me. Oh yeah, I got pretty frustrated today because I kept trying to call Singapore Airlines since before 4pm until 5pm, and they were busy the whole time!! Omg torture man, trying to get on the line. I had this sudden and very random urge to bake some delicious cookies that Carrie made a few times last year… yeah I have no idea why, it’s just not like me to want to bake something so suddenly. Ok, it’s just not like me to want to bake, period. Obviously I didn’t bake cause I didnt have the recipe or the ingredients.

I have started watching Friends! 🙂 Almost done with Season 1 now, and I have Seasons 2 and 3 waiting for me. Definitely something to keep me occupied for at least a month, yay! Ok um it’s getting pretty late and I kinda want to wake up early tomorrow so I gotta go.

Happy new year all! 😀 Sorry for the late greeting, I just got my internet back in the afternoon. Seems like I have just returned to civilization. 4 days without internet was just plain torture. I expected Freddy to blog while I was away.. but no he didnt -.-

On NYE, I had dinner with Carrie at Capers. At first we wanted to have it at Countrypatch, but then the kitchen was closed already, so we went to Twelv, but then they were only serving the ala carte at 10pm, cause they have their NYE dinner promotion thing. So soi lor! Hahaha, so we went to Capers. Saw a lot of familiar faces, it was very weird la. Omg, dinner was sooo good! We had the all you can eat thing… it was so so satisfying!  I think their chef was in a very good mood that night, the food was in their best state on NYE. After that, we went to Ama‘s room in Empire. There were quite a few random people in the room, but time seemed to pass quite fast cause soon it was time to countdown! We watched the fireworks from the balcony and it was so pretty! Of course in other places Brunei’s fireworks are like nothing la but.. whatever haha.

Um yeah I’m kinda lazy to blog, so zzz. Yay for the internet! I feel like I have things to do now.. but then the internet is also kinda crappy now 😦 better than no internet, I guess. Will update soon!

Does anyone not find Titanic the saddest love story ever? Sigh. I caught it on TV last night, it gets to me everytime. How can you expect me to feel safe riding on a cruise if they keep making movies like Titanic and Poseidon? 😦

Only about 2 days left til the last day of 2008! You can tell I’m very excited for 2009 😀 What’s not to be excited about? Going over to a new country, being in a new environment and meeting new people (well actually that kinda scares me a bit). Just to get in the mood, I’m gonna do a survey stolen from Carrie who stole it from Weier who stole it from Jon. 🙂

Well it’s not really Christmas yet but it will be by the time I’m done with this post. Can you believe it? Christmas already?! It’s not like I’m complaining, but it’s just crazy how time flies so darn fast. In a few days we’ll say hello to 2009  😀

Haven’t been blogging much lately, and that’s because nothing much has been happening.. unless you wanna hear about me playing FB poker which you don’t. Sienzz. I did manage to go to the gathering at Empire on Monday though, and I saw lots of people from our year who are currently back for the holidays. It was really nice to see them! Haven’t seen those faces in a couple of months and frankly I do miss them sometimes hahaha. I arrived there at 9pm and was only planning to stay for a while, but ended up staying until past 1am =S hahaha. Overall I would say it was a pretty fun night haha, definitely entertaining.

Other than that, I went out for lunch with Bea and Weier. We searched for a parking for so damn long la! Not the longest I’ve had to find but still! You would’ve thought that on a weekday the traffic would tone down a bit… but yeah it is payday/bonus day after all -.- Normally I wouldn’t be willing to park in the basement even if Gadong was crowded because honestly I don’t think it’s worth it (yeah yeah call me cheapskate lah). But anyway, this afternoon, after many unsuccessful rounds in search of a parking I finally gave in and decided to park in the basement. So we took a while to go to the basement cos it was packed, and guess what, NO ENTRY!! Wahlao eh! Frustrated or not! Haha but anyways we got a parking at Hua Ho so it was cool.

I also decided to get a hair cut after a few days of my mum’s endless nagging for me to get a hair cut. Yeah I admit my hair was pretty… ew hahaha. Errmm yeah I have a fringe, again. I bet you’re all so sick of it hahaha but I think it suits me lah. So yeah, that was pretty adventurous of me, going to get a hair cut by myself =\ cause I usually go with my mum, but I was just so sick of my hair.

Ok, I guess that sums up my Christmas Eve? Hahaha so boring, but it’s okay. Have a merrrrrrrry xmas everyone! Cheers from This Fate!

i thought i was a fool for no one.

I’m only blogging now because I’m sick of seeing the same post everyday (for the past 4 days at least). Been going out for the past few days since Weier just got back from UK a few days ago! Met up on the night of the day she arrived in Brunei (so hardcore haha) and had dinner at Cheezbox and everything, then we went to the Snow Ice place cause she’s never been there before and we were playing Jenga Truth or Dare and yes, this time we actually had to do the dares. Then they started building domino blocks with the Jenga.. and as usual Rif had to build one in the shape of a penis.. hahahah.

And today I woke up at 9am!! Wow. When the alarm rang I thought I was just gonna give up and sleep in like I always do. Nope, not this time. I’ve turned over a new leaf. My mum was complaining about how I never have breakfast with her, so I proved her wrong this morning. We went to eat the kolomee at Ocean Quarry 😀 I haven’t had that for so long! It’s not bad but I think it was much better last time 😦 still quite nice though. I also managed to witness 4 almost-accidents on the road this morning, within a span of less than an hour. I’m still shocked that nothing happened to these cars.

We were turning into a simpang, and on our right there was this car reversing to go the opposite way. But then the car obviously didn’t see us and continued reversing like he was the only one who owns a car in the area. Luckily my mum managed to stop and horn in time otherwise he would’ve hit our car. Watch where you’re reversing man.

We just got out of the simpang, and there’s a huge lorry in front of us. This lorry then signals to the right to get to the right lane and was already crossing the middle line and suddenly out of nowhere this bitch car (on the right lane) zooms past us AND the lorry when the lorry was going to switch to the right lane. Idiot!! So fucking stupid. Che si lo is what we would call it which means ‘find death road’ in direct translation.

This other car was infront of us, and he suddenly brakes in the middle and signals to the left to go in a simpang. Ok this isn’t as extreme as the one before but signal earlier la diao!

Ok this one is kinda extreme too. We were on the Jln Tutong highway, the one which has the traffic light, which if you go straight, brings you straight to the Istana/Taman Damuan.. yeah you know that road. And if you turn to the left, you’d be heading to Telanai. So there’s this Hilux on the right lane and then he suddenly goes to the middle lane, and then cut to the other lane where you use to go to Telanai, with two cars closely behind him as well. All this is done without signal. Nabeh, first time I see ok!

So yeah, sup with scary, reckless drivers today? -.- Erm yeah it’d be better if I drew pictures for you guys but I just cannot be bothered hahah. Anyways, this is it for now I guess. Goodnight!
